In Art on Monday, the students will be working on the good copy of a multicultural flag art activity. I have asked the students to do a bit of research this weekend to prepare for this art activity. Students must ask their parents which country’s flags they feel best represents their heritage. Please have your child bring in a picture of these flags, or help them practice drawing the flags on the planning sheet (click on the file below):
For the good copy page (which the students will receive on Monday), the students will be combining their family’s flags into a new multicultural Canadian flag that they feel best represents them and their family! Feel free to help your child brainstorm some ideas( on the planning sheet above) of ways to creatively combine the family flags into one.
I will share with you the students’ creations when they are all completed!
