Our students experienced a fun-filled day in the Pioneer Village at the MacSkimming Outdoor Education Center today! What a great way to compliment and add to all that we have learned in the classroom about life as an early settler. Students enjoyed a variety of activities throughout the day: learning about and doing a variety of early settler chores (parents, you would have been proud of your child!) like tapping trees, carrying water and ice blocks, grounding corn flour, using antique tools, building a log cabin as a class, and experiencing what it was like to be a student learning in a one-room schoolhouse!
